The purpose of the Video Front End Module is to act both as a back end for a wideband synthesizer and as a front end for the 10 MHz Waveform Digitizer (Board Number 60-1083). This functionality is required for most PTH video applications. The Waveform Digitizer has only one video input; most video applications have multiple outputs.

The Video Front End Module receives wideband synthesizer signals at its input and provides a multiplexed output to the Waveform Digitizer input. Figure 12-1 shows a block diagram of the Video Front End Module.
