9 Amp Matrix
The 9 Amp 4x4 Matrix Module provides a means of routing high power supply outputs and loads to
selected DUT pins under software control.
The 9 Amp 4 X 4 Matrix hardware includes a diode shunt with its anode connected
to Line 4 and its cathode connected via an SPST relay to Line 3. The shunt consists
of three silicon power rectifier diodes in series.
The following descriptions of functions and procedures do not specify what
resources are available on the 9 Amp Matrix lines. This is because resources depend
on the configuration of the system at your site. The usual convention is to connect
the first High Power Vl Source in a system with its high side on THL1 and its low
side on THL2, and the second source similarly to THL3 and THL4.
The CloseDiodeShunt procedure closes the relay connecting the diode shunt. Typically,
the shunt is connected in parallel with a power transistor for a Vds(on) or
Vce(sat) test. It provides a path for power V/I sources to stabilize in current forcing
mode when the device under test is in its OFF state, avoiding transients when the
device under test turns on.
