General Purpose Relay Module (GPRLY)
The Digitizing Voltmeter Front End Module increases the accuracy (signal-to-noise ratio) of a small
signal measurement by amplifying DUT signals at the test head.
The General Purpose Relay Module is designed to reduce or eliminate the need to
install application-specific relays on the Swap Board.
The General Purpose Relay Module provides sixteen separate channels. Each
channel is an input pin connected to its output pin through a 200V, 1A relay.
These channels are used for general switching applications such as the routing of
test signals to and from the DUT and applying load networks.
They are also used to reduce, as much as possible, the wiring capacitance seen by
critical pins of the DUT by disconnecting them from other modules and system resources
when not needed.
In addition, each of the first eight “channels” is independently connected to the
Mux In 1 line through its respective Mux relay. The second eight “Channels”
connect similarly to the Mux In 2 line. This feature is used for 8:1 or 1:8 resource
multiplexing.
See figure 7-1 for a diagram of the GPRLY board.
